1991 R129 Central Locking Problem. Central locking has stopped working on my 500sl. When you activate the key, the lights flash on the door/boot but the locks do not operate. By the whirring from the vacuum pump suspect this is the problem. Have disconnected the battery and no luck.

Insert key into ignition and turn from 0 to II and back four times and the immobiliser light should come on solid.
